Internship | Financial Transaction Diligence | Stockholm

Are you ready to empower businesses by maximizing value and minimizing risks in their M&A endeavors? Join our Transaction Diligence team for an internship. Our team is one out of four within EY Strategy and Transactions, and our service is crucial for ensuring success in mergers and acquisitions. We assess company performance across a variety of industries and advise clients on financial and transaction related matters. In spring 2025 we are offering an Internship with our Transaction Diligence team in Stockholm and Malmö. The full-time internship is for a period of 8-12 weeks, with flexible dates.




Your role as an Intern


During your internship, you will work as part of our team on interesting projects where your analytical skills will be challenged. You can expect full support from great colleagues, a buddy to help you settle in and a supervisor who provides you with continuous feedback and follows your development. Financial Transaction Diligence focuses on M&A transactions on both buy-side and sell-side mandates, and the work includes the following tasks:


Establish and evaluate businesses’ underlying profitability (EBIT/EBITDA)
Identify and understand key business drivers (“the story behind the numbers”)
Establish and evaluate normalized net working capital requirements
Identify possible risks related to the transaction and advise our client on how to mitigate them
Calculate adjustments to the purchase price and evaluate closing mechanisms





To qualify for the role


A future suitable academic degree (M.Sc. Tech or M.Sc. Econ.) in the field of e.g. Finance, Accounting or Economics, Industrial Management or Engineering
We are mainly looking for students in their first year of MSc or final year of BSc
Excellent academic credits
Fluent in English and at least one Nordic language
