Duties:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for the management of the property inventory – non-expendable (N-EXP) valued at over $6 million, supporting over 50 residences, U.S. Direct Hires and Locally Employed Staff. The property team is a total of four members.
The incumbent is responsible for tracking all personal property using the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS). Tracks all property transfers, issuances, inventory lists for residences, disposals and generates necessary documentation, obtains required signatures from accredited officials, and strictly follows the guidelines and rules. Plans and conducts property disposal sales and maintains archival files associated with all disposal and sales actions. Identifies excess and damaged items, no matter the owning agency, and provides this information to upper management.
Oversees the receiving activities for post, ensuring receiving personnel follow all regulations and guidelines governing this activity. Plans with the Property Management Supervisor and executes the annual inventory processes for the NXP. Ensures effective use of resources and time, performs reconciliation, and investigates anomalies in variances. Acts as the primary liaison between the embassy community and the Property Section to schedule services, clarify details of requests, and respond to questions, complaints, or any other issue. Maintains archival files associated with all inventory operations.
The position is in the General Services Section and under the supervision of the General Services Officer/Property Management Supervisor. Acts as the Property Management Supervisor during any absence.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of experience in warehousing, logistical support services or inventory work.
EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma.
LANGUAGE: English good working knowledge writing/reading/speaking. Swedish limited knowledge writing/reading/speaking. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid Driver's license.
