Inventory Manager

The department Parts Supply & Logistic within Volvo Car Group has a global part and accessories supply chain responsibility from supplier to dealer. Today we have a Central Distribution Centre in Gothenburg and support our 46 warehouses that are spread out over the world. We own the stock value and the processes for how the logistics will be handled, while a third party supplier manages the actual execution.
As Inventory Manager you will have full control of the inventory management within Market Area International and also work to meet future challenges in the context of our global Volvo Managed Inventory (VMI) roll-out and Local Distribution Center (LDC) roll-outs. We are now looking for a strong communicator with a desire to start your career at Volvo Car Group in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Main responsibilities
* Be responsible for inventory control in some of our warehouses
* Comply with agreed-upon market demands, among other things, service levels, turnover rate and parts range
* Continues improvement of existing systems and practices
* Visit the markets for follow up and development of the activities in the stock management issues
* Cooperate/participate in projects for the development of the business
* Develop new systems, procedures and processes for our warehouse structure along with various internal and external departments
* In the duty also includes the training of our systems and processes
Required qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and/or working experience in a similar environment
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Excel.
* Some experience from logistics or from a similar role
* Experience in planning and implementing training activities is considered an asset
Personal qualities
* Strong communications and interpersonal skills
* Good understanding of working in a corporate environment
* Strong project and change management skills
* Analytical skills and customer focus
