Are you passionate about inventory optimization and want to drive results in a global supply chain context?
The Parts & Service division within Epiroc are now looking for a new colleague to join their team in Örebro as Global Inventory Optimization Expert. The division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. They focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training. The divisional headquarters are located in Örebro, Sweden, and the Distribution Centers are located in China, Sweden and the United States.
This is a temporary assignment of 12 months, with good possibility of a permanent position.

Your mission
Your overall mission as Global Inventory Optimization Expert is to coordinate and support activities to optimize availability and reduce our global inventory to reach the divisional targets. By coordinating the global phase-in/phase-out of high-value replacements for aftermarket divisions, you will create value by minimizing scrapping and securing an efficient replacement process globally.
You will work in close collaboration with the management team and colleagues in the regional Supply Chain, supporting with analysis and perform simulations from a global and regional perspective. Furthermore, you will identify and implement actions related to strategic and tactical projects focusing on inventory optimization.
Your profile
To succeed in this position, we believe you have a university degree in Economics/Business Administration, Supply chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience. You have good knowledge of inventory management and experience from working with inventory management systems or ERP systems like M3 and Syncron Inventory application GIM (Global Inventory Management) as well as good knowledge and interest in Excel and handling of big data.
To thrive in this role, you are self-motivated and able to manage multiple ongoing projects and activities. With your analytical skills and ability to understand the bigger picture you continuously identify areas of improvements and challenge ways of working. Since your work includes many local and global contacts it is required that your English skills (verbal and written) are fluent.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
