Acne Studios is looking for an Inventory Planner to join the Buying and Planning department. Job description:
The ideal candidate will be business minded, very analytical with great care for detail and have an understanding of fashion industry dynamics. The role will support the Buying & Planning team through all product life cycle: pre-season analysis & assortment planning, trend analysis, optimizing sales opportunities, follow up seasonal performance and recommendations for upcoming season to maximize sales and stock.
Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
• Driving development and improvement of tools and processes for the department to support business expansion and growing complexity
• Manage weekly process of allocation & replenishment optimization, taking ownership of stock management decisions
• Work closely with production to review & forecast sales and stock of Core Carry Over lines, suggest and monitor incoming repeats by region. Optimise store reorder points in time for delivery of repeats
• Monitor flow of fixed orders as well as reorders and takes action to ensure allocation to all channels is optimized and in time for launches
• Assess store prioritization for deliveries and other replenishment parameters, suggest changes if necessary
• Provides analysis to continuously identifying global & regional assortment opportunities, product trends, sizes dynamics and deliver recommendations based on findings
• Recommends and executes store-to-store merchandise consolidations based on sales performance.
• Move stock between regional warehouses based on forecasted demand. Limiting number of shipments with better forecasting to reduce cost and environmental impact
• Optimise sizing through analysis in season and work on size curves by store / category to assist in the future buying strategies
• Gain knowledge of store profiles through visits and monthly meetings, understanding clients, capacity and assortment differences, managing stock levels based on store feedback and own analysis
• Support with any ongoing team projects, collaborating with other departments effectively
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• BA or MA degree in Business / Economics / Fashion
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role with good understanding of Retail math
• Solid knowledge about the industry and the business for womenswear, menswear and denim
• Advanced knowledge in using Excel, ability to handle large volumes of data
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
• A team player with very good communication skills
• Being flexible and at the same time structured and organized, able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English language is an essential requirement
• Organized, detail-oriented and accurate strong organizational and time management skills
