About our field of operations:

GROW Green’s Invest team helps foreign companies to find business opportunities and investment objects in our region, Västernorrland. We have a proactive and targeted approach to FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) promotion, with an outstanding service level to existing and potential investors.

Our main investment areas are:
• Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
• Forestry
• Clean Tech
• Tourism

GROW Green is a regional partner to Business Sweden that promotes business on a national level. Our projects are funded by the European Unionen, the county government of Västernorrland, the municipalities of the region (Härnösand, Kramfors, Sollefteå, Timrå, Örnsköldsvik), the energy producer E.ON, the Mid Sweden Chamber of Commerce and the Mid Sweden University.

We are now recruiting a team member with a background in Forestry and preferably Clean Tech, with experience from doing business on an international market.

Arbetsbeskrivning

What does an Investment Promotion Advisor do?

• You develop and present/package our regional offer, build long-term relationships, and understand how to contribute to, and benefit from, our regional partner Business Sweden.
• You cooperate with, and motivate, the municipalities and the companies in the region to take part in our projects and/or to promote our region in other ways.
• An important part of your assignment will be to help and advise the potential investors in their decision process to invest in the region.

What are the qualifications we are looking for?

• At least a total of 5-10 years of work experience, preferably from consulting, business development or sales within the Forestry and/or Clean Tech sector.
• At least two years of experience within international business relations.
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English, and good skills in Swedish. Additional language is an advantage.
• Fluency in social media technologies is an advantage.

As a person you demonstrate a high level of business acumen and adaptability and you are result oriented as well as proactive. Team-working, pedagogical and diplomatic skills are highly valued, so is passion for and experience of handling a fast moving environment.

What can we offer you as a member of our team?

You will be a part of a new investment team consisting of four members, and you will have the opportunity to influence and shape your own work situation. The position is to be based in Västernorrland county. A more exact location can be discussed. There will be extensive traveling abroad, as well as within our region and other regions in Sweden.
