Your Challenge

As an iOS developer at SVT News and Sport you will be working with a well-know and highly appreciated products. Together with the team you will get the opportunity to develop both new and exciting concepts while maintaining the existing apps and solving related bugs. You will primarily work with UIKit but also SwiftUI in the near future as we evolve. You will have great opportunities to contribute with your own ideas while you continue to develop in your role as an iOS developer as well as learn and develop in Android and backend development. The team develops and maintains in total four apps (two iOS, two Android) and the backend service feeding content to those apps.

The Team and Work Place

You will be part of a tight team that is responsible for SVT:s News and Sports apps for iOS and Android respectively. They are working cross functional with a mix of competencies, including Q&A, UX and design as well developers. While everybody has their strength in a certain area, they all help each other out with all parts of the development. The team is working in an agile environment and has chosen mob programming as its preferred method.

About You

We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and contribute not only within the iOS field of competence, but rather is open to do work throughout all of the product, regardless of language or technical framework being used. You have a great understanding of modern development and a great interest in technology. Technically, you have previous experience and knowledge in iOS app development, more specifically within UIKit. In other words, a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and technical skills. The team is English speaking, however SVT´s company language is Swedish.

 

In terms of personality, you thrive working together with others and strive to develop. You like solving problems and are aware of the complexity in an organization and can see the bigger picture.
