We are now looking for an IP Configuration Manager who will be responsible for configuration of Telia Carrier Sold Services.
As an IP Configuration Manager, you will be part of Telia Carrier Service Delivery department and implement Telia Carrier services with high quality and in timely manner. You will be responsible for configuration of services and you will use existing guidelines and standards, which are already in place, to support you during your daily tasks. There is also a need to use internal support and inventory systems, which you must keep up to date. You will also be involved when it comes to setting processes and system improvements; and you will always be encouraged to make recommendations as you see fit.
DAY TO DAY TASKS:
o Prepare, create, verify all IP Router and Switch configurations as well as L3CPE and NID configurations according to configuration templates within standard lead times.
o Document and update all required support systems with high quality
o Support customers, field engineers, and sub-contractors with patching and bring-into-service testing
o Provide expert competence to customers and other internal parties as required
o Perform migrations, testing, and activations of services in cooperation with customers if required also outside normal working hours
o Perform Ready for Service RFS test and store test results
o Actively involve in making process, and system improvements; and make recommendations
o Customer / internal meetings (physical, video or phone): be able to run a structured meeting and provide clear feedback.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
o Must have previous experience of working as IP Network Engineer within a telecommunications company
o Passion for client satisfaction and customer service
o Ability to work as multitasked
o Ability to work on administrative and repetitive work environment
o Strong and current awareness of current technologies and best practice
o Ability to work across borders and boundaries (cross-cultural awareness)
o Comfortable to work unsupervised
SOFT SKILLS:
o You must have high problem solving attitude and be supportive
o Self-disciplined and able to work on own initiative
o Strong leader and good team player
o Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
EXPERIENCE:
o A minimum of two (2) years plus experience as IP network engineer within the telecommunications’ industry
o Essential to have very good understanding and practical experience in configuration and troubleshooting of the following technologies: IPv4/IPv6, BGP, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS and L3 VPN, IPSec, HSRP / VSRP, DWDM, VoIP, IPX, optical networking, Fiber
o Advanced IP router configuration experience in CISCO IOS XR, Juniper JUNOS and ALCATEL SR OS
o Experience in Network inventory and workflow systems (INCA, SalesForce.com, Arbor Peakflow)
o CCNP/JNCIS certification or higher
EDUCATION:
o Post-secondary education/university degree is desirable
o MEF 2.0 Metro Ethernet Forum Certification would be advantageous but not essential
