What you’ll do

You will be part of a team with width and deep knowledge within all areas of IP, Ethernet and WDM. The team works with all from strategy, analysis, design, procurement, proof-of-concept setups, to trouble shooting and other operational tasks. You will be part of an experienced and driven team with expert knowledge, and you are expected to be a team player.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
* Drive day-to-day OpenLAN activities, communication and development of tasks together with the stakeholder group.
* End to end scope, from contract follow up and technical HLD and definitions of implications of contract terms to technical roadmaps on 1 – 3 years’ time, and technical tasks, aligned with the TNSE internal technical roadmap and planning season delivery cycle.
* Define and drive the task arising from the breakdown of the contract commitments within Consumer/IT/Network squads, as needed.
* Acts as technical advisor in projects
* Covering the operational readiness of the deliveries per OpenLAN partners, including support systems (e.g.: Elektra, etc.) and organizations (WH, TS, etc.)
* Trouble shoot failing networks
* Proactively maintain networks and system to avoid downtime
* Be part of on-call schedule regarding network issues during off-hours
* Keep track of technical developments and trends
* Proactively strive towards cost reductions
* Contribute to technical documentation and presentations; create and maintain technical design rules
* Technical responsibilities during RFP/RFQ processes
* Contribute in regular opportunity sessions with the teams and stakeholders within networks to identify and formalize opportunity areas/tasks suitable for student MSc activities or junior hires.

Who are you

We’re looking for candidates which have:
* PhD/Master/Bachelor of Science in Telecom or IT, or equivalent work experience
* You have worked with network technology at a service provider or vendor for at least 3 years
* You have deep knowledge within the areas of IP and Ethernet
* Fluency in Swedish and English (both written and verbal).

You are used to acting on your own initiative, making things happen and taking responsibility for the outcome. You are a team player who works effectively with others, who shares knowledge and information and supports others in the pursuit of common goals. Your ability to quickly analyze complex questions and problems is very good. Furthermore, you are interested in continuously developing in the expert role. You have ability to present new and inventive ideas and solutions, and you can respectfully challenge traditional approaches. Finally, you are a very good communicator who communicates clearly verbally as well as in writing, creating reports and documentation.
