ISGR is looking for an IB MYP Swedish Language Acquisition teacher

The International School of the Gothenburg Region (ISGR) is a prominent international school, offering the International Baccalaureate continuum of learning through PYP K-5 and MYP 6-10. ISGR was established in 1997 to meet the needs of expatriate families coming to Gothenburg for work or study and requiring an International Education for their children. ISGR also offers a Swedish National Program section that follows the LGR22 national curriculum. Collectively, ISGR has over 1000 students enrolled in its programs. The Position
Swedish Language Acquisition teacher for our IB Middle Years Programme (Grades 6-10) for a 100% permanent position, starting 9th August 2023.
Seeking someone who can teach Swedish as a foreign language.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the curriculum
Communicate regularly with parents and other colleagues
Be an active and positive contributing member of the school’s teaching staff
Participate fully in the wider school programme (Personal Projects, Service Learning, Interdisciplinary Learning, etc.)
Actively contribute to the operational needs of the school

Qualifications & Experiences
Hold a recognized teaching qualification
Academic qualification(s) in the subject taught (at least a Bachelor’s Degree)
Experience as a teacher
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
The ability to establish good working relationships with adults and students
The ability to work effectively in a team
The ability to work effectively under pressure and to deal with change
The ability to show personal and professional initiative and to work independently
Be open-minded and willing to see yourself as a Learner as well as a teacher
Have ideally had previous experience of teaching one of the IB Programmes
Experience of working with students from diverse cultures and language backgrounds
