About Mentice Mentice is heading the broader introduction of surgical education based on modern simulation technology as a tool in the clinical learning process to improve education and increase patient safety. Our simulators have met great interest from the medical and surgical community and the company has faced a rapid expansion since it started in 1999. Mentice today has a turnover of about 90 million SEK and 60 employees. The headquarters is situated in Göteborg, Sweden and is the center for product & service development. In Switzerland we have a center of excellence for haptics and hardware development. To support our global customer base we have sales offices in the US, Australia, Malaysia, Switzerland and Sweden. We are looking for the following profile: Education: . Completed upper secondary education (gymnasiet) . Relevant complementary technical education and certification (Microsoft) Competencies needed: . Generalist with experience from a managing a broad range of IS/IT issues from a midsized company . At least five years of experience from both Microsoft server and client solutions . Experience of working with continuous improvements of processes and routines. . Routine from having evaluated and implemented different IS/IT solutions . Fluent in talking and writing business English and Swedish . Strong integrity . Enjoy a very changing company culture and environment Extra qualifying: . Very qualifying is knowledge of more languages (especially French, German and Spanish) . Experience from fast growing companies . Longer trips or work internationally giving experience from other cultures Starting date: as soon as possible Description of the position: This position is situated at our headquarters in Göteborg, and will more hand-on serve this office, but will also coordinate and set process that serves the company on a global basis. There are no other members in the IS/IT team so this position offers everything from hands on support questions to strategic global decisions for the whole company. This is a job for someone who likes to work independently but still being part of a big team. We are running a standard Microsoft environment. We estimate around five trips per year to different offices outside Sweden. A willingness step in and solve problems outside office hours is required (not very common up to this date) to assure the IS/IT infrastructure is always serving our customers as well as employees. Example of duties for this position: . Strategic decisions on a corporate level, like system integration, policies, global upgrades etc . Handling of servers and clients . Network topology, wireless solutions and external access . Backup, security and risk management . Running internal applications like Intranet etc. . Introduce, prepare for and educate new employees This is a new position, so there is a great opportunity to influence the job as well as the development of IS/IT for this small, but global company.
