Tjänstebeskrivning:

ISSR needs a French teacher to work in the MYP (grades 6-10).

The position includes, participating in the ISSR school community and working actively to build a culture of learning through collaboration.  

Responsibilities include:

- Organizing and carrying out dynamic and well-crafted language lessons to the MYP students using inquiry-based methods
- Documenting student progress in accordance with MYP guidelines
- Acting as an advisor (mentor) to approximately 12-15 students
- Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication; follow up on student progress
- Participating in school activities (assemblies, evening events, conferences, etc.)
- Participating regularly in collaborative planning with colleagues across the school
- Continued professional development

 

Requirements:

- University degree in education with a focus on French language acquisition
- Fluent English-speaker, both written and spoken to a professional level

Additional desirable qualifications include:

- MYP or DP training and/or experience working with the IB curricula
- work experience from an international school environment
- Strong IT competence with educational ICT tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in fast paced environment

 

 

-part-time, 75-80% (can be more with another subject combination)

-permanent (tillsvidare)
