IT Application Architect

Your mission
In this position, you develop application designs and do estimations based on business requirements and direction, and ensure IT application architecture that meets the true needs from the business and in line with architectural strategy and standards. Working towards many different areas such as sales, marketing, finance and logistics, you ensure that our business requirements and strategies are successfully translated into new IT solutions. You also provide guidance and direction to developers and suppliers with the mission to ensure that changes for IT applications are developed in a cost effective, sustainable way and you contribute to the alignment of IT application architecture with solution and enterprise architecture.
The location for this position is Sandviken, Sweden or Tampere, Finland and you report to the IT Delivery Manager for Shared Services within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions.
Your character
We’re looking for an IT Application Architect with a track record within the manufacturing industry and an understanding of the relevant workflows and business processes. You should have extensive experience from working with Salesforce on a global scale, preferably in the mining industry. Your experience is backed by a degree in IT or the equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. As we operate on the global stage, you must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
To thrive in this position, we think that you´re organized and confident, combined with a self-motivated drive and a hands-on approach. Being perceptive and sympathetic, you easily create a trusting environment for collaboration, and you have the ability to create buy-in among colleagues and your external stakeholders. You have good sense of communication and easily explain IT-related talks across all parts of the organization. You’re also a passionate networker, using your excellent collaboration skills to interact and build valuable and open relationships.
