What we need to do
Scania is currently undergoing a rapid transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as the success of Scania is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.
Harmonization of relevant areas of the global IT landscape and IT services is ongoing at Scania to meet the digitalization challenge – ensuring seamless usage of software and data solutions across Scania. Doing this right will help us to provide our business with new solutions - with speed and flexibility and well as great uptime and performance.
A relevant level of harmonization is key for a providing a fast, flexible and at the same time consistent delivery when supporting colleges within the Scania- and Traton Group with IT solutions. This includes how we as authenticate, the devices we use and how we connect (via Scania networks and internet). Harmonization is valid for all areas, from IT upgrades at our current sites, new establishments like the Scania 3rd industrial hub in China, to ongoing and upcoming collaborations within the Traton Group.
In short, we need to ensure that “work from anywhere you can be awesome” is a real possibility for all colleges and partners.

You will have the opportunity to develop together with global colleges, solutions and infrastructure services - utilizing “The Scania Way” to define and implement our way forward.
Your role on our global sites IT infrastructure journey
• Support, guide and define solution alternatives for Scania entities and sites globally, when near term or urgent needs and questions.
• Contribute to development of target- and detailed solution architecture for the IT infrastructure services.
• Drive and coordinate the implementation of IT infrastructure services in scope for specific target customers, as needed.
• Close collaboration with concerned collegues and departments, primarily within IT at Scania- and other brands within the Traton Group.
• Active contributor to developing our IT strategies, concepts and solutions,
• Proactively capture business needs of both new and improved IT infra services in close dialogue with colleges at entities in the Scania- and Traton Group.
• Establish and maintain a demand driven IT infra services roadmap together with product- and service owners.
• Communication and anchoring with stakeholders.
Your profile
• Eager, inspiring, known for vision, creativity and results.
• Technical background and work IT-experience with a good understanding of modern IT infrastructure, components and functions such as network, hosting, cloud, user devices and authentication.
• Experienced IT Architect with proven record of leading roles in both solution design, stakeholder management, anchoring and implementing new IT concepts
• Thrive in a flexible environment and are not afraid of breaking new ground.
• Get things done and set your own goals/tasks when needed.
• Excellent communication skills and like to operate in a multicultural international environment where we respect the individual.
• Fluent in English and good at Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience from working with IT at larger global organizations, having global manufacturing, sales and services.
• Relevant academic education and work experience.
