IT- Architect - Infrastructure

As the areas of infrastructure, integration and development platforms at Sandvik Mining and Construction are growing we need to recruit more people to Sandvik Mining and Constructions CIO - Office.We are therefore looking for a person who is genuinely interested in technology and operational matters, while also being able to handle/purchase IT services in a global environment in a structured manner. Key performance areas The position entails: . Being responsible for the infrastructure services, which involves ordering, follow-up and further development of new services together with Sandvik's own IT company, which is responsible for delivery of global IT services.An important part of the work will be to co-ordinate Mergers and Acquisitions, which means ensuring that newly established and acquired companies will be integrated into the infrastructure in an efficient way. . Supporting the regional IT organisations we have with IT services, and working to achieve co-ordination of views within the area.. Being internal purchaser of infrastructure to areas such as DataWareHouse, Sales Support System, Portal solutions for Extranet, etc.As we are active in places where the infrastructure is quite complicated, you will have to be knowledgeable in the area of communications. In your position you will report to the Global Manager for Infrastructure, Integration and Development.Your profile Your background should be university education in the IT area, plus a few years' work experience.Experience in IT infrastructure (especially in communications and mixed environments) and delivery/packaging of IT services will be considered as strong merits. We believe you are interested in IT services as an "enabler" in order to develop business, and that you have the ability to navigate among the special interests that are always present in the area of IT.We also want you to able to act as purchaser with the focus on delivery capacity and cost effectiveness.This position requires some business travelling.
