IT Architecture Modelling Engineer

We are looking for someone interested and engaged in IT architecture modelling to join our cross functional team, Onboard Security & IT Architecture.



Your role

As an IT Architecture Modelling Engineer on Kockums you will be working with onboard IT systems in our submarine and surface ship projects. You will be part of the product development process and work closely with our IT Architects and system engineering teams to make sure that the IT systems and IT infrastructure onboard are well designed in accordance to the operational needs. Our products consist of many systems, either developed in house or procured and are integrated in a complex distributed environment. The product architecture includes e.g. operation, information, systems, integration, infrastructure and networks.

The main tasks are:

* Develop (in cooperation with IT Architects and system engineers etc.) models describing e.g. operation, information, systems, integration, infrastructure and networks
* Configure the modelling tool to fit the organization e.g. create and maintain metamodels, documentation and templates, search scripts, external SQL queries to repository, scripts to ease use and user manuals
* Create and maintain the repository structure and the quality of the models. Handle baselines and backups, handle versioning, make releases and ensure status of models



You will work from either one of our centrally located and coastal offices in Malmö or Karlskrona. The work may involve some business travel, both within Sweden and abroad.



Your profile

We are looking for a person who can convert requirements and analysis into technical solutions. You need to enjoy working independently and seek necessary contacts and information when needed. However you also need great communicative skills to collaborate with many different stakeholders in our cross functional environment. Required skills:

* Masters degree in engineering or equivalent experiences
* Major/extensive/long/broad expereince in development of IT architectures
* Good knowledge in IT architecture/systems modelling using e.g. Sparx EA, Archimate
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written



Desired skills:



Good knowledge and experience in:

* Architecture frameworks, e.g. TOGAF, NAFv4
* Modelling standards, e.g. Archimate, SYSML
* Product development
* IT infrastructure (e.g. networking, infrastructure services)
* Good knowledge and experience in IT, both in general and in detail
* IT system management and support



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
