International IDEA works worldwide. It is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and has offices in Brussels, New York, Latin America, Africa and Asia.


Arbetsuppgifter
Context
- To provide administrative, logistical and technical support to the IT team, so as to ensure that the goals are accomplished in an effective and efficient manner and within the Institute´s policies and procedures

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of new hardware as required for new users or network/systems upgrades;
- Facilitates receipt or discarding of ICT hardware;
- Maintains the ICT asset register, ensures all assets are tagged and accurately recorded;
- Helps maintain necessary stock levels of standby computers, phones and accessories;
- Helps maintain an orderly ICT storage room;
- Provides IT and Logistics support to key events;
- Assists in conferencing services on audio, video conferencing, and data services;
- Supports development and implementation of new computer projects and supervises contract based installations;
- Monitors the status of service requests to ensure timely response times;
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of all documentation relating ICT services and procedures;
- Liaises with service providers, and provides support to end users on computer operations and communication tools;
- Co-ordinates and gives training to IDEA Staff Members in matters pertaining to the use of IDEA IT systems;
- Maintains IDEA intranet (Spider) from a content/design perspective;
- Assists the team in preparing contractual arrangements with external partners;
- Performs office administration including processing invoices and assists with coordinating project and task allocation;

Education and Experience
- Approximately 3 years' experience in a similar role;
- University degree in IT, Computer Science or Business Studie;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and web search tools essential;
- Knowledge and experience to support client-server applications;
- Experience in supporting computer-networked environments;
- Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence will be considered an advantage;
- Knowledge of Formpipe W3D3 (or any other leading electronic case management system) will be considered an advantage;
- Experience from working with electronic case management system(s);
- Experience of working in an international context, e.g. in an intergovernmental organization, considered an advantage.

This is a 3 year appointment.
