What you´ll do
This role will be a part of R&D IT, Early science in the Pre-clinical Capability reporting into the Senior BA. We're seeing the impact that IT can make in accelerating our science, and we seek to do exactly that in our Capability.
The Pre-clin capability owns the whole IT capability for clinical pharmacology and safety sciences, which consists of in vivo studies, in-vitro technologies, imaging, data and analytics globally across R&D, to drive key decisions and support for R&D drug projects. The scientists we work with are based at our 3 R&D hub sites, Boston, California and external partners. Many of these scientists are world leading in their fields. We are delivering on an emergent strategy to build outstanding technology to accelerate the R&D drug pipeline.
You will support our transformation on our R&D site in Gothenburg. An idea may start in Sweden or the UK but our organization is delivering global solutions that scale; and you'll be part of making that happen. We're a team of 3 BAs', a capability lead and a CSM, plus aligned architects and an aligned In-Vivo dev ops platform team. In a small team like this everything you do has a chance to create an impact.
Accountabilities:
As a Business Analyst/Associate Business Analyst at AstraZeneca, you will get the chance to work in a truly global environment in collaboration with team members and partners from all over the world. The role partners with scientists, leaders and IT professionals to support the development and implementation of strategy by aligning the business value to changes in data, technology and ways of working, to ensure solutions build value and meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards To do this you'll work on:
* Identification of business needs - define business need and areas for improvement. Proactively seek out opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals, propose solutions through research.
* Business analysis planning - plan and lead activities to meet deliveries and deadlines.
* Partner analysis and change - identify, build and partner with stakeholders, empower change and communicate plans for projects.
* Requirements and design definition - identify functional and technical requirements, translation of these between IT and the business. Partnering with Architecture team, ensuring the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits.
* Business case and benefits management - support the business case definition, collect business justification for investments including return on investment and benefits realization.
About you

Key Skills and Experience
* Previous BA experience with domain and/or IT knowledge, or experience in a similar role.
* Experienced in using a range of tools/techniques to design and deliver business change
* Organized and self-starter
* Proficient English with good presentation and influencing skills
* Experience of working with third party suppliers/vendors
The following experience is desirable
* Data expertise: Experience of delivering insight through data or industrializing data pipelines, or using data driven quantitative business analysis techniques
* Knowledge of agile working collaboration practices and tools such as JIRA, Confluence

* Previous experience of regulated/validated/GXP environment
