NCC is hiring an experienced IT Competence Manager
The IT department at NCC is a centralized Nordic service delivery and development organization that has a high focus on people and competence management. We are now looking for an experienced people manager called, “IT Competence Manager” to be responsible for the “IT Support competence area”.

That is why we are investing in people management and competence development, and we need great managers that will secure that we have the “right person in the right place” and they are “competent, high performing and motivated”.
The role as IT Competence Manager
In Your role as IT Competence Manager at NCC, you will
• take ownership and responsibility of resource and competence management and be the direct manager of the personnel within the unit “IT Support Competence Center”
• plan and assign resources (NCC personnel and consultants) to teams based on needs from team leads and other stakeholders
• manage the relationships with the teams leads and different stakeholders in a formalized, professional and transparent way
• secure competence levels of NCC personnel and consultants are up to date and meet the requirements that we have
• follow-up resource utilization, performance and manage time reporting and expenses
• provide coaching, training and support to NCC personnel and consultants as needed
• conduct people management processes for NCC personnel.
• ensure annual budget for your area is established and followed
• act as key escalation point and solve resource and competencies issues
• own the specific consultant agreements and manage the needed supplier relationships
• support IT in achieving the function goals, targets and objectives
• be an active part of long-term resource planning based on the input from team leads, other stakeholders and IT strategy and plans
• actively work with improving the resource and competence management areas, as a part of IT CC Management team
• be an advocate for and continually improve our culture and behaviors.
Your profile
We believe you have a relevant academic degree and 10+ years of work experience as a people manager with well documented leadership and coaching experience. Good presentation- and communications skills in English as well as one of the Nordic languages are required. Experience in working as a Communicator is merited. ITIL certification is merited.

Additional information
This a permanent position, located in any of our major cities in the Nordics.
The position requires travelling a few days a month within the Nordic countries, although we do apply a flexible way of working and strive to collaborate digitally as much as possible.
