Arbetsbeskrivning
As part of a global industrial engineering group, Sandvik Coromant is at the forefront of developing manufacturing tools and machining solutions with knowledge that aligns with the industry standard and innovation in the metalworking industry – now, and in the next industrial era. We’re now looking for an IT Demand Manager to support the area of manufacturing operations in our global team.
Together with the team
You’re part of a group supporting production within the area for manufacturing equipment. Manufacturing equipment of various types needs order, product and process information. Equipment like this may function for 10-30 years and one cannot expect to get software updates from the equipment. Meanwhile, the system landscape will change, and new security threats must be managed.
Together with your team and the projects, you ensure that all integration with the manufacturing equipment is done in a way that both makes the equipment efficient to operate and can be maintained over time in a cost-efficient way.
Your mission
In this position, you’re responsible for translating business needs into functional IT systems and services. You’re immensely important to our IT organization regarding support, development of new applications and implementation. Your assignments include projects and other types of initiatives to support the area with efficient support of IT for processes.
You work closely with our production units and internal process owners, and as you take in their requests, you proactively work to ensure that our IT systems comply with the needs of the department. You also specify criteria and accept certain installations, making your job imperative for steady production. Leading and participating in initiatives and internal projects related to your area of responsibility is also a crucial part of your role, to ensure that investments and upgrades are effective, correct and cost-efficient.
The location for this position is either Sandviken or Gimo, and some travel is included.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a degree in a relevant area, such as technology or systems development, or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. You have extensive experience working within the demand area supporting IT capabilities, including delivering production support from an IT perspective. Experience from the MES level, programming and manufacturing processes are also beneficial. Since we operate in an international environment, you have great communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, and knowledge of Swedish is favorable.
You have a structured and analytical mindset, combined with a flexible and service-oriented approach. Your great communication skills allow you to convey information in a concrete way, give inspiring presentations and build networks with our partners across the organization. With your solid business understanding and your resilient and encouraging attitude, you inspire others to work towards our goals and deliver results!
