Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What's in it for you?
You will be part of the IT Site department.  As an IT Engineer, you will be key in the digital transformation from a legacy IT landscape to a full SAP implementation. Our factory in Olofström ships body car parts to the US, China, Belgium, and Gothenburg.

What you’ll do:
 • Secure that In-plant logistics systems are up and running 24/7 i.e., make sure incident, and problem resolution is up to the mark. Secure changes are planned, tested, and deployed according to process.
 • Contribute to the agile product teams to deliver new functionality.
 • Contribute to future initiatives to replace the old legacy applications.

Who you are:
We're looking for you who have at least 5 years of experience as an IT Engineer.  The area you will work within contains applications developed in diverse technologies: .NET, mainframe, SAP (TM, EWM,) and Java applications. The more experience you have with these technologies, the better. The rest you can learn.  We notice you have experience in different integration technologies and supporting logistics operations from an IT perspective.  We see you are familiar with cloud technologies (AWS and Azure) and enjoy having fun at work and taking great care in ensuring everyone always feels welcome and included!  Last but not least, we see you are a self-motivated individual contributor and great team player with the ability to multitask, prioritize and communicate progress in a rapidly changing environment

This position is located in Olofström.

If you do not fit all criteria above, do not hesitate to apply. Most important is the willingness to learn and be a part of our journey towards a renewed application landscape that can support our business in the best way.

We offer our employees excellent benefits such as:
 • Plenty of leave to let you take time off for what's most important in life.
 • At Volvo Car Group, all new parents with one year’s active permanent service now receive 24 weeks of parental leave, paid at 80 percent of their base pay. The policy is for everyone – whether you’re a designer or a plant operator, whether you work in Sweden, China, or the USA.
