Your impact
As our first IT Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to establish and shape our IT department. As our core expert in the field, you will not only be responsible for hands-on execution, maintenance, and support but also play a pivotal role in strategically developing our IT function for the long term. With time, we anticipate that you will be responsible for leading and growing a team of talented IT professionals.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Shape the strategy and way of working with IT at Alight, setting the stage for a robust IT department
Ensure compliance with business requirements by establishing a comprehensive cybersecurity policy and promoting IT governance across the organization
Evaluate and enhance existing third-party vendors and software/hardware solutions to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and maintain a high level of security
Optimize our workspaces, including client devices, office hardware/software solutions, firewalls, and SaaS applications, to facilitate effective communication in a remote work environment
Provide remote support to our distributed workforce across Europe, enabling seamless operations and troubleshooting

To be a good fit for this role, we believe that you are an experienced IT professional who thrives in working with a broad set of responsibilities, from strategy to hands-on execution. Most likely, you have worked in a fast-paced IT organization before and are proud of your contribution in making that IT department excel.
You might be an IT Manager today, but you could also be an IT professional with a desire to take the next step. What matters the most to us is your attitude and motivation to build a top-notch IT department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3 years of experience working as an IT professional, preferably in a fast-paced environment, managing a broad set of responsibilities
Experience in establishing/updating IT policies, including cyber security policies
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
Experience in hardware and software asset management
An empathic mindset and willingness to provide IT support to your colleagues across Europe
Ability to work on-site at our office in central Stockholm (hybrid-remote)
Fluency in English, as Alight is an international company and our team is from all over the world
