Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Globalization, digitalization, and sustainability are examples of trends that are affecting our business environment. We are increasing our ability to make use of our information assets and utilize new technology. We are now looking for a manager to join us in this exciting and dynamic environment and really get hands-on in driving the shift towards sustainable transport solutions.

Scania is now setting up a production unit to produce battery packs and cable harnesses. We have high ambition when it comes to quality and volume, so many of these facilities are highly automated. Since we are building up this capability from scratch do we take the opportunity to introduce our new modern IT solutions. 

Your Assignment

You will lead our awesome IT team that has the responsibility to secure that we have the right IT solutions and digital tools to support the production of Battery packs and Cable harnesses. The team consists today 9 coworkers and will grow during next year.

As a IT manager for Battery production are you responsible for IT strategy, roadmap, and budget. You are a part of the battery production management, advising in IT questions and taking responsibility for all IT activities within the unit.    

Since the ambition is high and the timeline is short will this put high demands on you and your team to collaborate close with other departments within the unit and IT. It is crucial to understand overall ambitions and align expectations on the IT deliverables.

In the coming year will there be a high focus on setting up the production processes and it is also important to prepare for operations.

Your profile

You have proven servant leadership to lead this team to success. You direct and motivate the team through why and what, let goals be set by individuals and the team, involving everyone in decision making.

You are skilled in setting up objectives and key results based on prototyping and experimentation and interact face to face. You promote transparency and secures that information is made available. Ideas are embraced and the people are loved.

A successful candidate has experience from a similar position and is a humble, engaged, and experienced leader with a passion to develop people and organizations. You strive for growing as a person together with your team and you understand and believe in modern organization and culture where you value people and their possibilities. Building great agile teams and working in network organizations is a given for you.

You involve your employees when creating plans with focus and energy. You have the courage to test new ideas and have them tried in short iterations. You continuously change based on the outcome and you see creativity and enthusiasm as a great way of working

This position in situated in Södertälje, Sweden, and speaking Swedish is a must.
