Work descriptions
The Gävle Container Terminal commenced operation in 2006 and has since established itself as the most efficient container port in Sweden. The company has joined to Yilport Holding in 2014. From the start, the focus has been to drive the operation with a high technology profile and at the leading edge of development. The terminal has purpose-built equipment to manage all types of load carriers, for example, containers, trailers and flatbeds.

Main focus of the IT-manager is to maintain / roll out information technology strategies by managing staff and/or 3rd party support team(s); implementing and if needed, researching technological strategic solutions in line with HQ Technology Group guidelines.

The IT-manager will be the first connection for all IT related matters between the local subsidiary and the headquarters.

Responsibilities:

- Maintains organization's operational effectiveness and efficiency by delivering, and supporting strategic and tactical plans for implementing information technologies.

- Makes sure that Global Support Center, local 3rd party support and own resources are utilized efficiently.

- Directs or take part in technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects when required.

- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.

- Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures in line with HQ guidelines.

- Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective action.

- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications
Port Container / Rail operations knowledge and experience (preferable).

- Technical Understanding and experience on systems and IT services management,

- Minimum 5 years of similar management position

- Knowledge of local / regional Systems Integrator service providers

- Fluent in English and Swedish
