Läkare Utan Gränser/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Sweden was founded in 1993 and is working within the international MSF movement to ensure continued medical humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable populations of the world. Our fundamental principles are neutrality, impartiality, independence and medical ethics. The Swedish section focuses on recruiting volunteers for fieldwork, spreading awareness and creating debate about humanitarian issues in Swedish society, raising money to fund MSF’s projects all over the world and on direct operational work.

We are looking for an IT Officer (11 months temporary position) to fill in for the IT Officer who will be on parental leave. The position is based in Stockholm.

The IT Officer works closely together with the IT Responsible to ensure a professional administrative IT support to the office and its staff. There are in total about 70 users and 100 computers in the office that the IT function is responsible for.



The primary tasks for the IT Officer is:

• To support the users of Läkare Utan Gränser’s network on a daily basis.
You will be responsible for:

• The daily and practical functioning of SharePoint
• IT-support to users of Läkare Utan Gränser’s network
We are looking for someone who:

• Is service minded and has good level of interpersonal and liaison skills, including demonstrated ability to work flexibly and cooperatively in a cross-cultural environment
• Is able to work under pressure and are able to prioritise between tasks
• Has sound organisational skills and the ability to meet daily deadlines and reliably respond to high level needs for assistance
• Has the ability to work autonomously
Our requirements for the position:

• Minimum “gymnasiekompetens” (or same knowledge acquired by other means)
• A couple of years’ experience in IT administration including specific and demonstrated experience in supporting effective technical management of an IT office network
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office System
• Ability to resolve hardware technical problems
• Good communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English demonstrated ability to report on technical requirements, reflecting system and user needs
• Knowledge and experience of SharePoint and MS applications
It would also be valuable if you have/are:

• Experience from similar NGO working environment
• Interest in Humanitarian Aid
• Experience from working in Projects
Läkare Utan Gränser is an organization based on a volunteer spirit whereas our salary levels are low as compared to the market. The salary for this position is 27.431 SEK/month according to our salary grid. It is not negotialble.
