In Nordea we are currently significantly strengthening our capabilities in operational risk management and information security. We are now inviting you – an experienced Operational Risk Officer – to contribute with your passion for IT Security to ensure that operational risks are managed effectively in the organisation.
You will act as an independent and professional operational risk adviser in second line of defence. With your knowledge and engagement you will be a valuable contributor in our efforts to remain the trusted partner our customers and the society want us to be.
The position we offer
The IT Operational Risk team, part of the Group Operational Risk organisation in the 2nd Line of Defence, is a unit focusing on monitoring, challenging and advising the IT areas in managing operational risks. Our team is therefore looking for two Operational Risk Officers to strengthen our capacity in performing independent assurance and providing advice on key IT controls;
-one ORO focusing on IT security and business continuity
-one ORO focusing on IT Infrastructure and related processes
You will:
-Advise and challenge the IT areas to effectively managing the operational risk inherent in their processes, activities and systems related to information security and business continuity.
-Perform independent control design analysis and testing of operational effectiveness
-Produce assurance reports on identified issues, including recommendations for corrective actions
-Contribute to the development of a sound risk culture within Nordea
You will have a close collaboration with other Operational Risk Officers in IT Operational Risk and Group Operational Risk, and interact with various stakeholders in order to add value and achieve on objectives.
We expect you to have a strong interest in being driver for activities and initiatives in a rapidly changing environment.
The position can be located in any of the Nordic capitals and will require some traveling across the Nordic region.
The qualifications you need

You:

You have:
-A minimum of 4-5 years’ IT experience, preferably within the financial sector or similarly regulated industry e.g. Health/ Pharma.
-Solid knowledge of best practice techniques in the IT industry covering IT security management, IT operations and operational risk management
-Experience in controls design and ensuring their effectiveness
-A relevant university degree e.g. IT, finance, economics or similar.
-Fluent skills in English, both spoken and written.
Following qualifications are considered as advantages:
-CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ITIL or related qualifications.
-Operational risk management knowledge and experience and understanding of regulatory requirements related to operational risk.
