IT Operations Engineer

As we are continuously growing internationally, we need to strengthen our IT Operations team in Gothenburg. We will focus a lot of effort into keeping availability up, efficiently handle incidents and automation. Your role as IT Operations Engineer

You will primarily work with the operational performance and infrastructure of our Saas-platform and further develop our production environment to ensure that it is equipped for the needs of the future - with a focus on databases, Linux servers and DevOps Tools. Your mission is to build a scalable, redundant system that gives great conditions for performance and high availability and work closely with software developers to provide the tools and environment needed for efficient development.

The IT Operations Team consists of 8 technically skilled members that is responsible both for our production system, internal IT and other systems used internally. In the team you own and take responsibility for your area, but to thrive with us, you like working in a team that helps each other out and put no prestige in which various tasks you perform.

Together with 2 other colleagues, you’ll be responsible for:

• Database and development environment
• Linux (CentOS) and virtual environments
• Together with DevOps Lead, develop DevOps Tools
• System monitoring and proactive security measures
• Storage
• Backup and disaster recovery

You think that technology should solve a problem and can navigate through the continuous evolvement of new technologies, to understand what is relevant for our organization. Since you’ll work close both with colleagues in your team as well as developers and DevOps Lead - we believe you like to collaborate, help you colleagues and share knowledge.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have experience in a similar role and great knowledge in:

• Databases (we use MySQL)
• Linux (CentOS, Redhat)
• Docker
• Virtualization
• Ansible / Puppet
• Git
• Jenkins
• General Network knowledge

Knowledge in Jira, oVirt, Ansible, Foreman, Vdi, Spacewalk and/or Fortigate firewalls is a great plus.
