What you will do in this position

You will primarily work with the operational performance and infrastructure of our Saas-platform and further develop our production environment to ensure that it is equipped for the needs of the future - with a focus on Network. The purpose is above all to manage, maintain and expand networks and infrastructure to enable successful DevOps operations. The goal is for all our environments to be stable, cost-effective and safe.

We focus a lot of effort into keeping availability up, efficiently handle incidents and automation. You’ll have great variation in your days and work with a competent team that find great joy in solving complex technical problems. In the team, you own and take responsibility for your area, but to thrive with us, you like working in a team that helps each other out and put no prestige in which various tasks you perform. You will be part of a smaller DevOps team and report to the Head of Infrastructure.

As a IT Operations Engineer you will:

• Have overall responsibility for networks and firewalls
• Manage hardware in data centers
• Manage virtual environments
• Using DevOps practices as CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Automation and Monitoring to handle our IT environments
• Design, plan and implement networks in cloud solutions

The tools and technologies we are working with

• Network and Firewall: Fortinet, Cisco, VPN, BGP
• Datacenter: NetApp (storage), Dell (server)
• OS, container software and virtualization: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes , Ovirt
• Database and Framework: MYSQL, Java, Python
• Configuration and provisioning tools: Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet
• Public Cloud: AWS, GCP, Alibaba cloud
• Tools: Netbox, Oxidized, Checkmk

Qualifications and personal attributes

We believe that you are a solutions oriented doer who likes to take initiatives - and when you start something, you run the initiative all the way to the end line and don’t like leaving things unfinished. You think that technology should solve a problem and can navigate through the continuous evolvement of new technologies, to understand what is relevant for our organization.

To be successful in this role, we also expect you to bring the following:

• Several years working with IT Operations
• Experience in network
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken

We would be extra glad if you also have worked with DevOps such as IaC, CD/Ci.
