Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global market-leading manufacturer of tools and tooling systems for cutting operations as well as of blanks and components.

Sandvik Machining Solutions IT Demand for R&D & Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) in Sandviken bears global responsibility for the systems supporting product processes and structures for product related information. It also deals with the management of product related documents and data. We are now executing a program for implementation of a global SAP platform for all PLM data. This is a foundation for downstream processes implemented in SAP, as well as support for our product creation processes. The project includes CAD integration with SAP as well as implementing SAP PLM 7 and SAP Visual Enterprise and is to be rolled out globally.

Key performance areas
As IT Process Manager for the SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management system) your main tasks include:
- Working with the requirements for achieving a smoothly functioning PLM system intended to support a continuous flow of information through the product's entire lifecycle
- Bearing responsibility for the specification of needs and requirements in the PLM System according to Best Practice
- Working with improving the processes needed to optimize the product creation process by utilizing SAP PLM capabilities
- Improve Business capabilities by increasing project information and collaborative tasks
- Lead and/or participate in projects within the PLM area
- Document management within the PLM area
- Providing support and assistance for users

Your profile
You hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, and Manufacturing, or have the equivalent knowledge and experience gained in some other manner. You have three to five years' of experience in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution area and excellent knowledge of SAP. Furthermore, you are able to develop and maintain relationships at all levels with internal customers and cross-functional teams and have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

To be successful in your role it is vital that you have an understanding of the processes and system solutions that support the product during its lifecycle, as well as a very good understanding of information modeling, requirement handling and testing. Previous participation in projects involving implementation of IT systems is an advantage, as is experience of SAP PLM or other PLM systems.

As a person you are driven, structured, pedagogical and service-oriented. You communicate well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Other language skills are an advantage.
