The role as IT Project and Program Manager
Our IT Project Managers lead projects of various natures and sizes through the whole of the Vattenfall Group, from supporting new apps for R&D to improving the CRM systems, from business specific applications to data center transformations. With the support of the Project Management Office team, our IT Project and Program Managers lead multidisciplinary and international teams and contribute directly to Vattenfall strategy.


Main responsibilities as IT Project and Program manager
Manage IT projects/programs from business case, through development, to GoLive’s
Responsible for multiple IT projects
Grasp the project value, timeframe and deliverables from the business units point of view
Be the interface between the business unit and the rest of Vattenfall IT, coordinating interactions between different stakeholders (Business Units, Solution Architects, other IT departments, external providers, etc).
Plan, execute, follow-up, and deliver projects according to or above customer expectations
Support and master the Vattenfall IT tools and ways of working and ensure adherence to Vattenfall standards and instructions
Manage international teams of project resources, actively bridging cultural differences



Your qualifications as IT Project and Program Manager
A relevant bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent experience
About 10 years of experience as Project or Program Manager within IT Projects
A relevant certification (IPMA, Prince2, PMP etc.) and experience with Project Management Methodologies (PROPS etc.).
Experience in leading international teams either as manager or PM. Strong leadership skills is a necessity, as well as running complex projects with many stakeholders
Strong IT background preferably within Infrastructure.
Advanced in English and Swedish both written and oral
Experience from working with transition, transformation and migration is not mandatory, but considered a merit

You feel comfortable in sharing your expertise and ideas, as well as being challenged in them and are not afraid of taking tough decisions. You are quick to understand new business processes, requirements and technologies but also have an understanding for the security legislations that needs to be taken in to consideration.


Location: Solna, some international travel required.
