The organizational environment

The work environment at Scania’s IT department is international and our employees are representing many different nationalities and countries. The Department Digital Workplace aims to deliver digital workplace services towards all internal customers, enabling Scania's colleagues globally to be creative, productive, and collaborative. The group Strategy & Partner Interface is a part of the Digital Workplace department. We run and manage the partner interface regarding service portfolio and solution architecture, and lead cross-functional projects. We now have the opportunity to strengthen our project management team with a Project Manager.

Your Responsibilities

As a Project Manager you are responsible for leading teams to deliver projects of semi complex nature. You will manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and control guidelines throughout the full project development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successfully and on time project delivery. Contributing to process improvement initiatives is also a part of the role as it relates to improving project delivery. You will have the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. In order to succeed you verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost, and achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.

You have leadership ambitions with a passion and interest in successfully leading projects and programs to on time, on schedule and within budget close. Right mindset, positive attitude and ‘speed & flexibility’ are some distinctive traits in your character. Helping and supporting the business using our IT-services related issues should be something you find both inspiring and rewarding.

You bring enthusiasm and have the ability to see people and their possibilities. We believe you easily build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders. You are a great communicator with experience in bringing together multiple business partners to execute a common mission, in a fast-paced environment. You are encouraged to support and lead other people in a humble but decisive manner. Furthermore, we believe you;

• Have a university degree in IT or business management, or equivalent work experience.
• Are early in your career, maybe have 2-3 years of work experience in a Project Manager role or similar work experience, or have just finalized your academic education.
• Have the ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.
• Have the ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective.
• Have analytical skills and strive to understand the big picture as well as the details.
• Are fluent in English and preferably also in Swedish.
