What you will do
As the Project Manager you will lead IT projects and support the organization with finding solutions to continuous process improvements. You will assist with problem-solving, work with documentation of solution proposals, business cases & project management supporting documentation and organize testing. You will also train and coach colleagues on how to use implemented system solutions. Another aspect of the Project Manager role is to serve as the coordinator between the organization and system developers and application consultants/specialists, with the responsibility to capture and drive change improvements/problem resolutions, from demand all the way through the design and implementation of software- and process solutions. Examples of your key responsibilities:
• Lead projects and execute project goals by tightly following time plan, budget and quality aspects and communicate efficiently when deviations arise.
• Prioritize assignments, requirements and working time to maximize business benefit
• Work with technical specialists, application specialists, business analysts & external suppliers to understand and investigate solution possibilities in systems and processes.
• Prepare project proposals and leading assignments as well as delivering regular status reports.
• Contribute to the development of and uphold the working procedures around our business system environments.
The IT department is located at the head office in new premises, about 8 minutes from Gothenburg Central Station. As the IT Project Manager, you will have one of the key positions in the Business Applications team and report to the Manager of the Business Application team, Linda Andersson. Regular travel over multiple continents is to be expected.
Who you are
We believe that you have strong project management and communication skills, business acumen, analytical capabilities, good understanding of business and information systems and is eager to combine that with a hands-on approach in supporting the business organization. To succeed in this role, you need to have a strong personal drive and interest in developing excellent understanding of the way the organization works and the market it operates in. You need to be able to deliver solutions and assignments by yourself, but more than anything, you are a strong team player who sees the value in collaboration and bringing different competencies together.
What experience do you have
• Bachelor/Masters degree in either Computer Science, Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or other related fields.
• Strong agile project management skills with experience in leading business/information system projects or other IT change projects.
• Experience from working as IT Project Manager is considered a requirement or in similar in roles such as Management consultant, Business Application Consultant or Business Analyst etc. Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience.
• Preferably experience or familiarity within one or more of the business domains; sales, marketing, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing and finance.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
• Fluency in PPT and Excel; adept at analyzing data and supporting development of executive-facing presentations
• Understanding of applicable methodologies e.g. PM3, ITIL, Prince, Lean is desired.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of ERP solutions and other related systems such BI, CRM and web applications are a plus.
