Background
The Cyber Defense Center (CDC) at Volvo Group IT situated in Gothenburg is supporting Volvo Group in building and enhancing cybersecurity capabilities to protect business operations and information. We are now hiring a person that will support Volvo Group’s on-going journey in building an IT landscape on modern platforms. An important part of the CDC is the hybrid security operations center function which daily monitor, detect and respond to threats where we need you!

The role
Working in the CDC means that you mainly will take on activities such as threat hunting in our SIEM and related systems, participating in cybersecurity incidents, enhancing our monitoring, detection and response capabilities but also educating colleagues within the cybersecurity domain or being part of our vulnerability scanning and reporting processes. As a part of this team you will be able to work within different areas where your competence or desire to develop best fits. The key to our success is daring to challenge our current ways of working and having fun while doing it.

Who are you?
We believe that you have technical interest in cybersecurity tools and data, passion for cybersecurity and is curious about emerging trends within the market. You like to work in a team and can drive things to completion, which means that being proactive and willing to take ownership is something you enjoy. It is important that you like to interact with people and that you have good communication skills. We think that you have a few years background working within IT and have a deep urge to develop your skills within cybersecurity.


You work in a professional way with focus on quality and can with support from the team: plan, schedule and monitor your own work. Most importantly are we looking for someone with right attitude more than finding the exact match regarding technical skills and capabilities.
