About the position

RaySearch develops state of the art oncology software used at clinics around the world to treat cancer patients in an efficient way. As an IT Security Specialist at RaySearch you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the secure software development life cycle and our IT infrastructure and the secure software development life cycle. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect our systems and data while ensuring that product cyber security management activities and output are compliant with our procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate cyber security management activities, including post market.
• Identifying vulnerabilities, design and implement protective measures, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Security monitoring and incident response.
• Regular security assessments and audit activities of products and infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security incidents, assessments, and measures.
• Support and training for development.
• Contribute to the development of strategic security plans that align with our broader business objectives.

Your profile

We believe that you have proven experience in IT Security, which has given you a solid understanding of security principles, practices and technologies. You are analytical and possess excellent problem-solving skills that enable you to critically assess risks, develop robust solutions and make informed decisions that strengthens our security posture.

We also believe that you are an independent and self-motivated individual who takes initiative. Since you will have regular communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders, we value your social skills, strong communication abilities, and your sense of responsibility.

A collaborative mindset is essential, as you'll be working closely with diverse teams—including risk managers, testers, and core development teams—to implement a unified approach to security. Your ability to keep stakeholders informed about security issues, initiatives, and progress is a key part of your role, and we appreciate candidates who excel in fostering clear and open communication.

Essential experience & skills:

• Degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response procedures.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English).

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
