We're seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our small, dynamic Vulnerability Scanning team. Here, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our SOC and Antivirus teams, contributing to the protection of our company's network and applications.

The role
• Perform vulnerability scanning to identify and investigate vulnerabilities across our systems, including servers, networks, operating systems, and other components.
• Ensure accurate and reliable results by investigating the root causes of failed scans.
• Maintain and administer our scanning environment, including managing upgrades, updates, and scanners.
• Communicate technical vulnerabilities to our business and application teams, using clear and understandable language that transcends complex security concepts.
• Collaborate closely with other Scania markets, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration to onboard our central scanning services.
• Work alongside various teams to ensure timely patching and follow-up, achieving the desired patch level.
• Generate insightful monthly reports and interactive dashboards that showcase vulnerabilities and track remediation progress.
• Provide support and expertise during IT security audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct thorough web application scans, combining manual setups with automated scanning, to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Utilize different integration methods, such as XML, HTML, and Postman, to optimize the effectiveness of our scanning processes.
• Leverage your deep knowledge of scripting, particularly PowerShell, to automate scanning tasks and enhance overall efficiency.
Who are you
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in vulnerability scanning and analysis, ideally within a corporate environment.
• Good understanding of IT security principles, best practices, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to explain technical vulnerabilities to non-technical stakeholders with ease.
• Familiarity with web application scanning tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or their equivalents are highly desirable.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
