We can offer you a challenging position at GIS (Global Information Services) the IT department of Husqvarna AB. GIS is responsible for delivery of IT services throughout the group and the organization is based on major hub sites Huskvarna, Sweden and Charlotte, U.S. The ITS (IT Services) department within GIS is responsible for delivery of new IT solutions and ongoing IT services. ITS is organized in three delivery functions; Solution Services, Information Services and Infrastructure Services, while Service Integration Management and ITSM process governance is provided by the Service Management Office (SMO).

Job Description:

The Service Manager for Technology Platforms is responsible for shared application & database platforms and collaboration solutions, e.g. e-mail, messaging, file sharing, intranet, video & web conferencing. You will focus on establishing standardized service concepts and drive consolidation activities.


In order to provide effective services for both internal and external collaboration you will drive development of our Collaboration concept, working closely together with GIS colleagues from the Architecture and Infrastructure teams.


In this position you will manage an outsourced delivery which will be predominately provided by one main supplier of managed IT services. You will plan and manage change activities, manage service requests, act as escalation point for incidents and drive problem management activities. Furthermore, you will facilitate operational review forums with internal customers and external Service Delivery Managers in order to ensure pro-active delivery planning and structured service improvement initiatives.


You will plan and follow-up budgets, and support the process of IT service cost charging/allocation towards internal units and customers.

About you:

We think that you have a relevant educational background for the specified position. You have approximately 5 years of work experience with 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a large international company. To manage the task of this position it’s essential that you have a good understanding for business and operational processes.


You have the ability to communicate both in written presentation and in speech. As we are a global organization this includes excellent skills in English. It’s important that you are a well-organized person who likes to work in a structured way and actively work on preserving the established processes and procedures.
