IT Solution Analyst – BI & Data Warehouse

Job description:

The Solution Analyst for BI & Data Warehouse is responsible for the global business intelligence and data warehouse implementations within GIS. Husqvarna has chosen Microsoft technologies such as Sharepoint, SQL but also MicroStrategy as the base for the global BI & DW platform. The platform constitutes an important part of the services GIS provides to Husqvarna business and there is a constant need of changing and improving these services.

In this position you will be responsible for all development and changes done to the BI & DW environment. However the actual implementation work, i.e. design, code and test will be managed by external suppliers. You will assist Husqvarna business units to formulate their demands and transform business requirements into IT requirements. You will also review and approve solution design specifications from our suppliers and take an active role in assuring good quality in the application delivery. You might also assist in incident and problem management activities. Furthermore, you will support GIS Service Managers in order to ensure pro-active delivery planning and structured service improvement initiatives.

As the GIS Solution Analyst for BI & Data Warehouse you will have an important role in the development of our business intelligence and data warehouse platform, working in close coordination with colleagues in the GIS Service Management team.

About you:

We think that you have a relevant educational background for the specified position. You have approximately 5 years of work experience in the area of Business Intelligence with 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a larger international company. For this position you are expected to keep up-to-date with the latest news within Sharepoint, SQL, MicroStrategy and other relevant Microsoft technologies.

You have the ability to communicate both in written presentation and in speech. As we are a global organization this includes excellent skills in English. It’s important that you are a well-organized person who likes to work in a structured way and actively work on preserving the established processes and procedures.

GIS is responsible for delivery of IT services throughout the group and the organization is based on major hub sites Huskvarna, Sweden and Charlotte, U.S. The ITS (IT Services) department within GIS is responsible for delivery of new IT solutions and ongoing IT services. ITS is organized in three delivery functions; Solution Services, Information Services and Infrastructure Services, while Service Integration Management and ITSM process governance is provided by the Service Management Office (SMO).
