IT Solution Analyst - Data Warehousing within Business Intelligence

As IT Solution Analyst, focus area Data Warehousing within Business Intelligence, you are responsible for delivering "top-notch" data warehouse services across IKEA globally. You are responsible for the "run" of a group of data warehouses, ensuring that the fundament and framework, on which the front-end Cognos and QlikView solutions are built on, perform on the highest level! You drive that "Best Practice" is utilized, that OLA's are in place, driving an on-and offshore team, delivering "Best-In-Class" data warehouses.

ASSIGNMENT
You will be responsible for the planning, follow-up and "run" of data warehousing within Business Intelligence, ensuring compliance to the IKEA IT Delivery processes, routines and methods. In this role, it is imperative that you know how to develop and maintain excellent stakeholder and vendor relations, both internally and externally.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for Life Cycle Management of the data warehouses including synchronization with the Service Owner team, with the goal to sustain and enhance the Service Delivery. You will also secure Availability, Performance Management as well as managing Change Requests.

-Excellent Data Warehousing skills, preferably utilizing ETL tools (Oracle and InfoSphere skills a definite asset)
-Excellent skills in Data Warehousing Governance and Life Cycle Management
-Excellent skills in Data Warehousing maintenance and capacity management
-Excellent skills in Service Delivery and Service Management
-Experience in front-end tools such Cognos & QlikView
-Experience from working with SLA/OLA
-Experience from sourcing, both onshore and offshore
-Experience in Project Management
-Exposure to ITIL and CMM
-English skills, both verbal and written

CAPABILITY/MOTIVATION
You have an analytical and tactical/operational mindset. You lead by example and have a "hands-on" approach to achieving good results. You have good communication skills and you drive the Service Delivery towards set KPI's. You are expected to contribute to the team of Data Warehouse Owners, enhancing the processes and taking ownership of both personal and group tasks.

In this role you need to balance strong technical skills with communication and presentation skills. We think that you have worked as system developer for some years and now are interested to utilize those skills in setting standards and governance, and taking a "hands-on" approach to getting results in a matrix environment. To be successful you also need knowledge of database design, data modeling, programming and system integration. You can describe all aspects from design through development, testing, implementation and production and have the ability or the potential to guide developers in their work.
