About the job
As Solutions Architect you ensure that designed solutions are successfully implemented – supporting the project teams and confirming that systems are evolved and delivered as maintainable finalized solutions. You provide us with technical guidance in designing and implementing the various solutions supporting business needs and strategies at assigned units. In addition, you liaise with product vendors, industry experts and other stakeholders with the aim to create solution designs based on quality for our business’. You also review the current technology architecture landscape and scout for new ways of working. By having a genuine interest in future innovations, you conduct research on new and emerging technologies for practical application to business problems and strategic initiatives in the context of assigned work efforts.
For this position you have your base in either Gimo or Sandviken, and we offer some flexibility for hybrid working location. As you act in very close collaboration with our on-site-production teams, internal stakeholders and you take part in development projects, you need to spend time in Sandviken or Gimo on a weekly basis. Some international travel is normally also included in the job.

In our production flow, we’re primarily using automatic processes and robots – all the way from managing raw materials to finalized products. Some production cells run entirely without any human interaction. It’s an environment that places great demands on “connectivity” and seamless flow through the production chain and high digitalization level information management between our software and machines – creating significant benefits in analytics, accuracy, efficiency and economy.
About you
We’re looking for a detailed and visionary Solution Architect with social confidence and a collaborative mindset. Your background is most likely formed within production, combined with a relevant academic degree or corresponding work experience, and you thoroughly understand IT connected to the industry. You’re eager to dig deep into how modern technology, digital development and thoughtful interfaces can enhance our operations. Since we work locally in a global setting, you must also communicate fluently in Swedish and English, while other languages a big plus.
You genuinely enjoy some good problem-solving, testing scenarios and evaluating different angles, and you team up with colleagues and partners to improve our IT structures. At the same time, you’re independent and use your self-drive to finalize assignments. Through organized and proactive ways of working and focusing on quality and customer needs, you make sure that we consistently surpass ourselves and continue to be a frontrunner in automated manufacturing methods.
