We are looking for a new IT Solution Leader (called product owner in scrum) who can turn the product roadmap for our solutions into working deliverables in the team’s backlog, aligned with the overall strategy and product vision.

The products that we work with are within the Manufacturing Execution layer close to the factory floor and are critical for our plants to be able to produce engines, gearboxes, trucks etc. Our solutions are used in 19 factories in 10 different countries across the globe. Quality on onetime deliveries, runtime stability as well as continually improving our time to market is crucial for the success of Volvo Group.
Role description
As IT Solution Leader you will work in an experienced, self-organizing scrum team with great team spirit driven by equal shares of producing the best possible value and quality, while also having fun at work.
Here are some of the activities you will be responsible for:
Development and maintenance of multiple applications used globally
Manage the product backlog, product goals and release planning
Stakeholder communication, trainings and managing key user network
Understanding the business need and evaluate proposed solutions
Close collaboration with rollout organization, being overall responsible for a smooth transition from development to implementation
Prioritize content for each development sprint; feeding the development team with most prioritized development tasks
Supporting the team actively during the development sprints
Accountable for User Acceptance Tests and approving the solution together with stakeholders

Another key is Communication – keeping the team, the organization, and the stakeholders continuously updated on both the long-term goals and the necessary changes to any plan.
Teamwork and leadership are equally important. Your role is central in guiding the team in making the correct decisions, while – at the same time – listening to the team is crucial for you to make the right choices.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe you have a relevant university degree (Computer Science, Information Technology etc.) or equivalent. In your previous jobs you have some years of experience from IT Solution Management (Product Owner, Solution Leader, Scrum master…) or you might have worked as Project Manager in the IT domain. We also see that you have strong communication skills and excellent spoken and written English and Swedish.
It is an advantage if you also have experience from any of the following:
Software development, agile development, and continuous improvement
Budget-planning and similar activities
Knowledge about the Manufacturing Execution domain
Working with a global organization and/or big contact networks
Automotive industry
Relocation
The team is completely located in Skövde, Sweden, and so is this role. No relocation help will be provided by Volvo. Candidates live in the immediate area or will relocate at their own expense. If you are planning on moving close to the work location, please mention that in your cover letter or CV.
