Join us for the opportunity to become a key member in our IT Sourcing and Vendor Management team during our unique 6-9 week paid internship, with possibility for extension for part-time the following autumn.
To help you grow both personally and professionally, we will place you in the heart of internal IT within Schibsted. Here you will collaborate with managers within Tech and IT suppliers to bring new ideas, solve challenging problems, and help out to deliver on business needs.
About the team:
In IT Sourcing and Vendor Management we are focusing on reducing risk, securing compliance, creating beneficial relations and managing total cost in relation to our external suppliers.
We are accountable for all sourcing for the internal IT-functions as well as we are responsible for coordination, competence, sourcing support, tools, processes etc, within the Schibsted Group. We are negotiating everything from small license extensions to strategic company wide multi-million USD frame agreements.
We are today a competent organisation and we are now looking for someone who can join us as an intern during the summer of 2022!
What you will do:
In the role as a summer intern within IT vendor management, you will support the team with everyday tasks. This may include delivering category analysis, strategic sourcing projects, supplier relationship management, contract management and negotiations of agreements, and administrative sourcing support.
You will get to experience analyzing procurement data, investigating business and market opportunities, developing sourcing category strategies and leading efforts to implement the strategies together with the team and stakeholders. The tasks may vary from fairly basic administration to more complex analysis, depending on the needs of the organisation and the summer intern’s background and interests.
You will be paired with a member of the team who will mentor and support you during your internship, you will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with other interns in Schibsted.
About you:

Strong interest in technology and business

Interest in law and ability to read contract text

Good skills in using Excel or Google sheets

Good understanding/interest of IT in a wide perspective

An interest to pursue a future career in sourcing or sales

You have good English skills and you are not afraid to use them on a daily basis. Ability to speak Swedish or Norwegian is beneficial

You are a 3rd-5th year student, pursuing a Bachelor/Master in an analytical field such as Technology, Business or Law

You are able to work remotely from time to time during the internship, no matter what the pandemic guidelines will be. We still keep in contact every day
