By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 40 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 40 positions in the programme is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. From the outset you’ll have your own development plan which will be tailored towards a role suitable for you and include building blocks with learning goals towards that target. The focus is very much on learning by doing, and together with your manager you’ll select different assignments and rotations where you’ll participate in real projects, and contribute to fossil free living, at the same time as you get the experience you need to boost your development.

Your role as a Cloud IT Engineer
– Together with Vattenfall Business Areas you develop leading IoT and Energy Management solutions, thereby supporting Vattenfall’s goal to be fossil-free within one generation
– You develop a common reliable, open and highly scalable IoT and Energy Management platform
– You will work in a DevOps scrum team closely with Business Areas to ensure solid understanding of customer needs for new business (e.g. Electric Vehicle charging, batteries, heat pumps and solar panels) as well as core business (e.g. Distribution, Hydro and District heating)
– You are part of a highly skilled team that is passionate about our customers’ success, team work and have a “can-do” attitude


Who are you?
• Graduate, or up to two years’ work experience
• Strong academic background in engineering
• Passionate about wanting to create change
• Keen to ‘learn by doing’
• Able to handle a steep learning curve
• Committed to climate-smarter living
• Able to travel regularly

As a Cloud IoT Engineer you recognize yourself in the following:
• MSc in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or Computer Science
• Strong passion for coding
• Willingness to learn new technical skills, e.g. C, C++, C#, Azure services, data science tools, SQL
• Eagerness to become the “go-to” person in one or several of these domains
• Strong team player
• 0-5 years of working experience as a developer

Location
You will be working in the department of IoT & Energy Management and the location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden.

Selection period starts in April, followed by online tests and interviews in April and May. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the IT & Strategy Talent Programme will be September 1st 2022.
