By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 40 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 40 positions in the programme is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. From the outset you’ll have your own development plan which will be tailored towards a role suitable for you and include building blocks with learning goals towards that target. The focus is very much on learning by doing, and together with your manager you’ll select different assignments and rotations where you’ll participate in real projects, and contribute to fossil free living, at the same time as you get the experience you need to boost your development.


Your role as a Service Manager/ Strategist
Your daily activities:
• Analyze and conceptualize different topics within the IT Service Management department by together with team members and other departments in Vattenfall IT
• Work with areas connected to service improvements and trends (e.g. hybrid way of working, digital workplace technologies, office 365) with communication, solution analysis and exploring features together with key stakeholders
• Create content and descriptions like communication material and processes descriptions and maps and take lead in managing and representing the process over time (process management)
• Run initiatives from start to finish using project methods like Sequential and agile for in-team initiatives (project management)
• Rotate within the departments in IT Service Management to gain knowledge, bring in perspective and initiate and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on identified points
• Concretize the unknowns that comes with an constantly evolving IT landscape (regulations, cloud, emerging technology, new business demands, strategic projects towards business)


Who are you?
• Graduate, or up to two years’ work experience
• Strong academic background in engineering
• Passionate about wanting to create change
• Keen to ‘learn by doing’ and have a service-oriented approach
• Able to handle a steep learning curve
• Committed to climate-smarter living
• Able to travel regularly


As a Service Manager/Strategist you recognize yourself in the following:
• Study or have experience in IT disciplines for example service-orientation, architecture, hardware or similar or a business related study or experience closer to customer relationship, marketing, communication or finance
• It’s nice if you have an interest or experience in driving initiatives or projects in any discipline of your interest or would like to explore and learn these skillsets

Location
You will be working somewhere in the department of YINS, IT Service Management and the location for this position is flexible (Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Poland).

Selection period starts in April, followed by online tests and interviews in April and May. The recruitment process will be finalized around the end of May/beginning of June. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the IT & Strategy Talent Programme will be September 1st 2022.
