About the position

As IT Support Specialist, you will be part of our support, security & infrastructure team. You will work with IT operations within GEODIS Scandinavia, from IT support and security solutions for our users, virtual servers and mobile communication.

You will be working in close collaboration with managers and colleagues in the Scandinavian countries, analyzing organizational needs and providing solutions in order to create better opportunities for easier use of IT related services within GEODIS. You will have an important role within our IT support, working with the latest technologies and international contacts in a global organization.

Focus for this position is first/second line support, realization and daily management, including:

- Providing client management solution in relation to internal procedure and policies
- Client management, HW setup for “Thin Client “solution and workstations
- Technical application management
- Document, maintain and communicate up to date procedure manuals covering Scandinavian & global IT activities
- Prioritizing and escalating issues based on business impact and service level agreements
- Manage network security, configuration, software and hardware documentation
- Hardware, LAN and WAN communications


Our IT department consists of IT Support Specialists placed in several locations in the Scandinavian countries, with a daily and close collaboration with colleagues and team members. The location for this position is at our Swedish head office in central Gothenburg, with modern facilities and good commuting possibilities. You will report directly to the IT Manager Scandinavia. This is a permanent position.

Your background

We are looking for you who have a relevant education in IT, preferably at a post-secondary degree level. It is a merit if you have at least two years of experience of working in a similar position. Since this is a position where you will collaborate with people across Scandinavia and sometimes globally, being proficient in English and Swedish is essential.

It is a merit if you have technical experience from working with several of below areas:

- Windows OS, Windows Server, MS O365 Applications
- Citrix and Windows Terminal Services solutions
- AD, DHCP
- Common LAN and WAN infrastructure and solution
- Troubleshooting connectivity problems and VPN issues
