Shortly about your new team
You’ll join our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team, part of our global Processes & Systems Operations department. We play an important role in developing improvements and innovative solutions that make life easier for our business operations and customers around the world – we support our 18 production facilities spread across Asia, Europe, North and South America. Good communication between our operations is key to understanding and matching the different business needs, and we want to take advantage of all good ideas and make everyone feel involved – so we value an open climate where we also have fun together! About the job
In this position, you deliver both project activities and software maintenance. You design, develop, test, debug and implement new software and deliver related activities considering usability, scalability, security and accessibility in the process. This also includes identifying system improvements and integrations.
Your daily work also involves:
Suggesting solutions and functionality to business stakeholders and System Owner.
Creating and maintaining system documentation.
Ensuring that we meet existing Service Level Agreements.
Ensuring that we follow established policies, standards and procedures.
Handling incidents and requests.
The location for this position is Fagersta and we apply a hybrid work set-up, allowing you to combine office and remote work.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a relevant education in computer science or similar, combined with experience within software development and programming, preferably with a focus on production-related systems or MES development. You have knowledge in different programming languages such as C#, Java and JavaScript, and are familiar with agile development, handling external IT suppliers, process modelling, system development, project management and budgeting. Experience in PowerBuilder, Oracle and Relational databases is beneficial. Acting in a global environment calls for skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
