The position The IT Technical Officer has responsibility for key aspects of IT network and service delivery to the Office of MSF Sweden.Critical tasks of this position include IT asset maintenance and to resolve system and user problems Duties - Under the direction of the Office Manager, provide assistance to system users IT network functionality and resolve IT problems as encountered by users - Efficiently receive, respond to, record and analyse user problems and requests to maintain effective office working environment, IT network functionality - Assist with maintenance of user and back up systems.- Provide initial basic training to MSF staff on MSF system and related main applications - Supervision of IT contractors working with MSF Sweden - Other duties as directed SELECTION CRITERIA Essential - A minimum of three years MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator) experiences and skills administrating a medium sized Microsoft network - A proven knowledge of configuring and maintaining the Active Directory and Group Policies - Understanding and skills of Terminal Services, load balanced servers and published applications - Demonstrated high level proficiency with Microsoft Office System (preferable Server 2003) - Working knowledge with VPN connections.- Ability to resolve printer and hardware technical problems.- Experience and strong knowledge how to perform proper documentation - Previous experience in IT administration, preferably in an NGO or similar environment, including specific and demonstrated experience in supporting effective technical management of an IT office network - Ability to work under pressure and to be able to prioritise between tasks - Good TCP/IP network knowledge, and understanding, for the proper maintenance and configurations of a CAT5 and fibre LAN/WAN network.- Administrate LAN / WAN and firewall - Ability to work with project (planning, budget etc.Include the following title in the subject line: "IT Technical Officer" No phone calls!
