Core IT Services provides a digital platform of flexible services and capabilities to enable Sandvik’s application community – giving other parts of the organization a reliable, secure and flexible platform to design and run value creating applications on. Services in Core IT cover the areas of server hosting, integration, output management and a selection of application-related services including application operation.
We’re looking for an IT Technical Lead to Kista or Sandviken
In this role, you act as technical lead for Core IT Services. You’re a key in making our part of the shift and staying updated about current and future technical landscape. With your solid technical understanding, you make plans and roadmaps understandable to important stakeholders throughout our businesses by painting clear pictures, telling stories and collaborating with Business stakeholders to facilitate strategic technical decisions.
Your main responsibilities include:
Developing and anchoring technical roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders
Securing the overall technical vision of new IT services in our scope
Driving improvement of the technical landscape in scope by involving and leading resources with deeper technical knowledge and other stakeholders as needed
Supporting Core ITs automation agenda. We work actively to find candidates for automation
Collaborating with relevant stakeholders on different levels
Being one of the drivers in our journey to improve business agility

Your character
We value your customer centric, can-do attitude which is combined with previous experience from the field. You've been working for at least five years in some leading position involving infrastructure technology, probably as technical lead, solution architect, technical project manager or similar. From your previous work, you’ve gained knowledge in areas like integration, server hosting on premise, cloud and infrastructure monitoring etc. You’re also familiar with ITIL as well as Agile practices.
As a person, you’re self-driven and curious and at the same time diplomatic – you enjoy exploring future directions and solutions and understand the right way to get there. With your strategic mind, the ability to see the bigger picture and make things easy to grasp, you naturally create buy-in for future solutions and changes. Naturally, this means that you communicate fluently in English, while knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. We believe you have a university degree in Engineering or IT and practical skills acquired from a working career.
