Item Manager

Valmet has launched a major business transformation program "Leap Forward" which is now running full speed ahead. This transformation program is rolling out new processes and will cover every part of Valmet's business and set the foundation for our business in the future.

In this exciting role you will play an important part in the success of this program, as you will manage the internal project when it comes to developing Item Management at Valmet's business unit at Lamberget, Karlstad.

Largely the role will include:

. Process ownership of TM item management and item logistics data management
. Item management road-map, annual planning, action plans and follow-up
. Manage and develop processes, routines and instructions regarding item management
. Item management - Item default data management and management of the item groups
. Item opening process management for standard items and own design items
. Coordination of item based logistical information content in ERP
. Coordination of Valmet Category Structure
. Item and inventory analyses in a close cooperation with internal stakeholders
. Inventory follow-up, coordination and reporting in TM

You will also participate in the PAP item management team where you will focus on:

. Supporting Valmet Item Management strategy implementation in PAP
. Annual planning, common action plan, follow-up & KPI's
. Communication and visibility of cross-functional item management work
. Matrix reporting to item management steering group.


To succeed in this role, it will be important to have good technical knowledge, an interest in ERP systems and that you have a structured and systematic way of working. Your ability to network and interact internally in the company, working with various stake holders and together moving the project forward, will be crucial for the role.

Previous experience leading change and a background in technology, logistics, procurement, production or engineering would be ideal.
