IT/Software engineer who wants to develop Scania's future concept vehicles and transport solutions
The Electrical Systems group belong to the relatively newly formed Vehicle Concept Development and is responsible for developing software, electronics, control systems and functions for our concept vehicles and future transport solutions. The main focus right now is on a high priority project connected to the Soccer World Cup in Qatar 2022 and now we need reinforcement on the IT/SW side.
Your tasks
You will have a developing and exciting job of developing IT/SW solutions for the Qatar project and coming concepts for future transport solutions. You will focus mainly on cloud, backend and CI/CD pipeline solutions but have to be prepared to support in other SW related work such as embedded. It's a wide area of work so you have to be prepared to learn the pieces you do not already master.
One of our groups responsibilities is to drive new technology at R&D. It is important that you are skilled and can gather information about new technology and apply it. You shall be able to communicate and argue for the solutions you choose.
At the group we receive requirements and wishes at a functional level and we are responsible for translating these into practical technical solutions including both hardware and software. Since we work with both concept and prototype vehicles and future transport solutions there is a big focus on finding creative technical solutions that set a vision for the future and less focus on production appropriate solutions.
Your profile
We are looking for you who is a good IT/SW developer and besides that are creative, inventive, communicative, initiative-taking and curious problem solver who see opportunities and not only problems. Above all, you have the right attitude and are driven by solving problems. You can easily make new contacts and appreciate both working in teams and on your own. You have the will to challenge yourself and old ways of working and to learn new things for yourself and for your colleagues.
You need to know how to use tools such as Docker and Git. You need to be able to implement backend solutions. You need to be comfortable working with cloud services, preferably AWS. You should be comfortable working with a DevOps mindset and methodology.
In addition to this you:
• Master both Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
• Are generally interested in technology.
• Have at least 3 years of experience within this area.
• Have a degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics or equivalent.
