About the job

Qapital is looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our team in Stockholm.Here you will be part of a self-propelled teambuilding microservicesarchitecture for event-driven applications helping people to take control over their savings.

The Qapital backend systems are structured in large part according to the Microservices pattern, and expose a RESTful HTTP API to our client apps. The core services are all developed in house, while we integrate with multiple external platform providers for more low-level banking infrastructure services. These are some of the technologies we currently use.

- Java 10
- Spring Boot 2.0
- AuroraMySQL 5.7
- Redis
- AWS (SQS,Machine Learning, S3, and more)
- CI/CD pipeline built on Jenkins and Docker

Skills and requirements
We hope you bring this to us:

- Strong programming (Java) skills with the ability to write and structure code in a readable and maintainable way
- Experience of the Spring Framework or similar
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English (Swedish isn’t necessary -- we have an international team and work through English)
- A degree in computer science or similar
- Excellent teamwork

Although not required, we value experience from the banking/financial industry, working withhigh-securityapplications, and/or working on thefront-end side with web or native apps.
